Floating the Provo River...

Floating the Provo river has been on my bucket list for some time and I finally got to do it with some awesome peeps!

I learned a few things...the water is really cold, my lips turn purple, I can't steer very well with my little arms and legs, and crocs were not the best choice for foot wear.

However, I had the best time ever, the boys were my hero's (saved my life a few times..ok not really but we'll let them think that) and they even saved my shoes a few times too so I think I'll keep them around. Doing this again for sure but I'll be bringing my paddle and wearing my neoprene boots!

How do you cure Yellowstone blues? Birthday Camping!!!!!

Well good thing we had another trip planned right after Yellowstone to cure our blues. Thank you Alli for having a birthday and for wanting to camp! We headed to Big Cottonwood canyon and parked our butts at Spruces campground. This place is awesome!
Saturday morning we decided to go hiking to silver lake and Lake Solitude. The wildflowers were out and it was gorgeous!!!

More peeps were coming so we headed back to camp, took a nap and waited for the others...
Then. we hiked to Donut falls that afternoon. Love that hike...even stole some kisses in the cave :)

 Jenni! Love this girl too!

Someone found me a nice rock :)

Donut Falls!
Broke my sunglasses on this hike, we we decided to be pirates! lol Attempted to cook dinner in the rain but the fire was very nice. It stopped raining and more people showed up. Perfect day!

The next day we packed up and enjoyed a  beautiful day. I got to work remotely Monday as I was picking my boss up from the airport, so I got to spend some time with the fam. Took the kiddos to Silver lake. It was a hit...well I thought so anyway :)

Love these people! Another perfect day!

Yellowstone Last day....So sad to leave!

Do we have to Leave???? that's what we kept asking ourselves!

 My squaw look!
We wanted to hike one last time but were crunched for time. So, What did we do? We hiked around that lake of course and it was magical!

Love this girl! Best road trip/adventure buddy ever!

My war wound from the day before...its got  sooo purple as the days went on. It was awesome!

Funny story, we kept meaning to stop  here to get a picture so we cruised over like a bat out of hell. We were going a little fast. Scared these kind fellers. Alli got into a  conversation about their vintage side car motor cycles and we took pictures for each other. As we start to leave Beemer Bob (as he in know) asked where we were headed. turnes out we were headed to teh same place and he offered to take one of us for a ride. Little did i know that Alli had "ride in a side car motorcycle" on her bucket list. We were beyond excited. Now I know what you are thinking..strange men offering us rides....would normally seem really weird but they only had one extra seat and we were after all following each other to Old Faithful. Half way I got a ride too!!! Funnest thing ever! Beemer Bob has a blog and we made it on there too. check it out http://beemerbob.wordpress.com/

Alli getting a ride. This would only happen with her around, soooo funny lol
